Bucket wheel dredger mainly consists of several major parts such as bucket wheel, bucket wheel frame, floatation box, cabin, mud transfer pipe, suction pump, winch, positioning piles and so on.
The bucket wheel is of circular design, and the periphery of the bucket wheel is grooved reamer teeth. The bucket wheel rotates under the traction of the power system, and the upward reamer teeth will dig up and ream loose the mud. The outer side of the bucket wheel is the suction pump port, which can suck away the dredged mud from the bucket wheel and transport it to the designated position through the mud discharge pipeline; the bucket wheel frame can be regarded as the body of the bucket wheel, which can control the operation direction of the bucket wheel and the depth of the dredging under the co-operation of the winch and the positioning piles; the pontoon box mainly plays the role of the floating body, which can carry the impact force generated when dredging, and the pontoon box is generally installed on both sides of the hull, and the extra space can also be used for the staff to take a rest and relax.
