Every system has its own advantages and we can support the customer with a fit-to-purpose spud carrier system solution.
If the carrier system needs to be flexible for dredging in waves, or stiff-to-handle hard rocks or a combination we can deliver the system.
A stationary dredger is moored by means of anchors and/or spuds, and is swung around the spudpole powered by winches.
The main advantages of this type of dredgers are its ability to operate in shallow water, ports, channel and to dredge a wide variety of materials.
The mentioned spuds and winches are highly hydraulically operated.
The on board hydraulic installations of these cutter dredgers are usually very exhaustive because a lot of specific movements (each with its own requirements, normally 35°) have to be carried out.
