Ventilation Pipe System Of Dredger

Feb 07, 2020

The dredger is equipped with cabin ventilation pipe system. It can remove the stale air in the cabin, add fresh air, and some can also adjust the temperature and humidity in the cabin.

Common ventilation methods include natural ventilation, mechanical ventilation and air conditioning systems.

(1) Natural ventilation

Natural ventilation is the use of the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the ventilator when the air flows to make the cabin of the dredger achieve ventilation. The natural ventilation method has good ventilation effect, but it should not be used when the air is humid.

The upper mouth of the ventilating tube is equipped with a vent cap, also called a wind bucket. Commonly used are pipe type, exhaust tube type, gooseneck type and mushroom type. Pipe vents are mostly used for small dredgers and engine room ventilation. The wind bucket is sleeved on the pipe seat, and a handle is provided on the top to rotate the wind bucket. Exhaust ducts are mostly used in the cabins near the sides of small dredgers. The gooseneck ventilation cap is used on the water tank or oil tank, and the upper mouth is equipped with a filter. The mushroom-type ventilating cap is installed on the top of the mast to ventilate the material cabin. For the ventilation of the galley and living quarters, adjustable screws should be installed, and the size of the opening can be adjusted by rotating the adjusting hand wheel in the room.

(2) Mechanical ventilation

Mechanical ventilation is the use of a ventilator to blow fresh air into or out of the cabin of the dredger to achieve the purpose of ventilation. Some dredgers add a dehumidifier or dehumidifier to the ventilator to dry the air entering the silo.

(3) Air conditioning system

The air-conditioning system filters, heats (or cools) and humidifies (or dehumidifies) the outside air, and sends the treated air to each material room to adjust the indoor temperature and humidity, and plays the role of creating an artificial microclimate to improve The working conditions of the crew.
