Chain Bucket Wheel Suction Dredger

The chain bucket dredger has a history of more than two hundred years and is one of the earliest mechanical dredgers.

A chain bucket dredger is usually installed with dredging equipment consisting of a bucket bridge, bucket chain, and mud bucket in the central slotted part of the bow or stern of the ship.

In the dredging operation, the lower end of the bucket bridge is put into a certain depth underwater to make contact with the dredging layer. Then, the bucket chain is driven by the upper guide wheel at the upper end of the bucket wheel, and the mud bucket installed on the chain excavates the mud and sand of the soil layer by rotating with the bucket wheel.

The mud and sand are loaded into the mud bucket after excavation, and then lifted out of the water along the bucket bridge with the rotation of the bucket chain, and driven to the top of the bucket tower at the upper end.

When the mud bucket reaches the top of the bucket tower, after the upper guide wheel changes direction, the mud and sand in the bucket are introduced into the mud well under its own gravity. Finally, the dredged sediment introduced into the mud well is discharged from the dredger through the mud troughs on both sides.

The Trodat chain bucket dredger excavating capacity of the degree of convergence and adaptability are large, the smallest chain bucket dredger production capacity is only about 10m/h, and the modern large chain bucket dredger dredging per hour up to more than 1000m. According to the single bucket capacity of the chain bucket dredger, the minimum bucket capacity is only about 0.1m3, most of the bucket capacity is 0.2~0.8m, the maximum bucket capacity can reach 1.0m".
