Chain bucket dredger uses the chain bucket machine on the ship to dredge the soil and sand in the submerged surface layer. Mostly used for digging foundation trench or dredging harbour basin. There are self-propelled and non-self-propelled type. Full load displacement is more than 1000t. The ship is equipped with a set of chain bucket dredging device, which consists of bucket tower, bucket bridge, chain bucket, upper drum, lower drum, bow hanger, mud well, manoeuvring mechanism and so on. When dredging, the bucket bridge is lowered so that the chain bucket hits the bottom, the chain bucket circulates, and the dredged sediment is poured into the mud well in order, and then transferred into the mud conveyor to be transported to the mud unloading area, or sucked to the shore by the suction dredger.
