The spud system equipped on our large suction dredger includes the functions of lifting pile, braking pile, reversing pile, standing pile, panning, and buffering, and also includes other auxiliary equipment. The pile body of the large suction dredge is made of steel pipe with a completed tube shape and welded, while the smaller piles are also made of seamless steel pipe directly. The piles are made of high-strength welded structural steel, with double-sided welding seams, X-ray inspection of the seams, and ultrasonic inspection of the longitudinal welds.
A tapered cast steel pile head is installed at the top of the lower end of the positioning pile to facilitate the insertion of the pile into the submerged soil layer. The large positioning pile is poured with cement in the pile body, and the water inlet and outlet holes are opened at the lower end to increase the weight of the pile itself.
