About Slurry Dredging Hose
Mud pipe includes dredger suction and discharge pipe, floating pipe, underwater pipe and land pipe and other mud transfer pipeline and its pipeline accessories.
Steel Mud Discharge Pipes
The most widely used discharge pipe in the world today is welded with soft steel material. Plastic mud tube is cost-effective. Polyurethane rubber mud tube has excellent abrasion resistance, but the price is higher, which is used as a self-floating flexible mud tube. It has good wind and wave resistance, also applied as a linkage between rake suction boat's mud tube to the shore for dredging sludge.
IHC mud discharge pipe standard length is 6m; when available, 12, 18, 24m pipe to reduce the coupling flange (water pipe in the wind and waves area, can not be connected by the flange, because it is easy to loosen, which has to be welded or use big flanges).
Float and self-floating mud pipe
The pontoons are a pair of cylindrical floats welded by steel plate, whose centre of the frame is installed with a discharge pipe on water, and the discharge pipes are connected with rubber hose. This pontoon has big resistance.
People use pontoons with stilted ends, which although slightly reduce resistance, but the cost is raised. Now there are some cases using horizontal rectangular floating box type, with smaller resistance but the cost is also slightly higher.

IHC Φ700 Float for Mud Discharge Pipe
draught a = 0.30m, weight 3223kg without pontoon;
draught b = 0.51m, tube + pontoon weight = 4627kg;
draught c=0.75m, tube+float+mud with specific gravity 1.14=8577kg.

Chinese Φ700 Float for Mud Discharge Pipe
There is also a self-floating mud disposal pipe made of steel, which is less expensive and can be removed when the pipe is repaired and replaced, but it has a high resistance, is not good for use when the water flow rate is high, and is difficult to drag and carry, and is inconvenient for construction work.

This is a type of floating body inserted. The inner wall of the floating body is polyester and reinforced with fibre glass, then sprayed by polyurethane foam; the outer wall is 2 layers of polyethylene or a layer of protective layer with polyester ; two ends are also reinforced.
