Mainly using a variety of excavation machinery, underwater sediment excavation, vertical lifting, and horizontal conveying, in order to achieve the purpose of dredging, among this dredging equipment, there are chain bucket dredgers (ladder dredger), grab dredgers, and bucket dredgers. The bucket dredger is divided into two kinds of forwarding and backhoe.
Hydraulic dredger, mainly using water movement to accomplish dredging tasks. It loosens the submerged soil by mechanical cutting and mixes it with water to form a mud mixture of a certain consistency, which is then sucked out through the mud pump installed onboard.
The mud is then sucked out to the mud tanks or discharged into the adjacent mud barges, or transported ashore through the mud pipeline.
Hydraulic dredger is mainly divided into suction dredger, cutter suction dredger, trailing suction dredger, jet suction dredger.
Pneumatic dredger mainly uses the pressure difference of air stroke to tell the underwater soil loose sediment mixture, through the inhalation of the pipe, lifting, and discharge, to achieve the purpose of dredging.
