Working Method Of Trailing Suction Dredger

Feb 18, 2020

The mud rake set in front of the mud suction port is used to loosen the soil, which is mainly used for dredging the channel. There is an open mud tank in the middle, and its volume represents the size of the ship, measured in cubic meters. Mud rake has single or double rake. Single rake is placed on either side or midship or stern; double rake is placed on both sides. After the mud harrow loosens the soil, the mud pump is used to suck the mud into the mud tank. The trailing suction dredger can be self-propelled. After the mud tank is full, the ship will drive to the designated place to dump the mud, or use overhead dumping, overflow, etc. The rake head, rake teeth, and mud pump liner are all made of high manganese steel, suitable for dredging silt and sandy clay, etc. The dredging depth is 4-24 meters, and the production capacity is about 1,000-12,000 cubic meters per hour. The middle part of the bow is equipped with a transverse thruster to facilitate turning and turning around. The navigation power is two main engines. The cutter suction dredger uses the rotatable reamer at the suction port to loosen the soil, and is mainly used for digging and filling harbor basins. Generally non-self-propelled. In order to facilitate site relocation, some are equipped with navigation hosts. The deck is equipped with 4 to 6 stranding machines for displacement, and is equipped with a landing reamer frame with a reamer shaft, and the shaft end is equipped with open or closed reaming blades, inlaid with manganese steel teeth. When dredging, put one end of the reamer frame to a specified depth for dredging. Some are equipped with a small bucket wheel rotating dredging at the reamer, which is called bucket wheel type. The dredged mud is sucked by the mud pump along the mud suction pipe, and then discharged to the designated place through the mud discharge pipe. There are floating water pipes and land pipes, the former can be moved with the ship. The mud discharge distance can reach 5000 meters. When moving the ship position in addition to the winch, two positioning long piles at the stern can also be used to interchange and alternate operations to make the underwater dredging surface level. The articulated suction dredger is suitable for digging clay and sand, with a dredging depth of 4-30 meters, and a production capacity of about 40-4000 cubic meters per hour.
